Outlook Mobile is a relatively new mobile app from Microsoft within the last few years. It's support for email signatures varies with which kind of mobile device you are using. Someday we hope that Microsoft will be able to offer better support for HTML email signatures within Outlook Mobile for Android, but currently it seems to be pretty basic and only work well with plain text signatures.

If you want to make a well designed email signature, we would recommend using a tool like our email signature generator. This tool allows you to choose from a set of starting templates and customize them by changing fonts, colors, images and adding additional fields. It creates the HTML code for you so you don't even have to worry about it!
Here is a step by step process of how to add your email signature to Outlook Mobile app for iOS:
-
It is not recommended to use mobile safari to copy email signatures!
So don't visit a website on your phone to grab your email signature. Instead start on your computer with step 2.
Unfortunately when you "Copy" something out of your web browser on your iPhone, it doesn't copy exactly what is there. It puts it through a filter and removes most of the formatting that is found in the HTML code. It only keeps the most basic elements.
-
Instead, if you are using Signature.email and have a paid plan, use the Send Via Email button to send the signature to your mobile inbox.
Or otherwise, use your desktop email client to send your signature to yourself via email.
-
Once that is done, open the Outlook Mail app and open the email. Press and hold on some text that is not a link to select it, then expand your selection to the entire signature and choose Copy.
We recommend selecting a line above and a line below the signature to ensure you have selected all of it.
-
Next, go back to your Inbox and tap the colored circle in the top left corner that should have a letter or your initials in it.
-
Once the left menu area opens, look for the Settings gear icon in the bottom left corner.
-
This will open the "Settings" menu. Scroll down until you find the Signature setting and tap it. This is typically the 3rd option down in the Mail category.
-
Make sure your signature area is empty by tapping once and wait until the selection menu is shown, then tap Select All and hit the Delete key in your iOS keyboard
-
Press and hold the empty Signature field to bring up the selection tool. Then choose Paste.
-
Once pasted, it will initially look like it has boxes with borders around it. This is ok! These boxes disappear when the signature is used. Now tap the Check mark at the top right of the screen to save the signature.
-
You can back out of all of the menus you are in. Now when you compose a new email within the Outlook Mobile app you will see your new signature!
That's it, you are finished! You are now a pro at adding a signature into the iPhone Outlook Mobile App! (something to impress your friends with).
