Microsoft's "New" Outlook desktop app is strikingly similar to Outlook.com, but with the niceties of a native desktop app. It is part of the Office 365 suite of tools that Microsoft offers. It features a nice suite of features to manage email signatures to your email communication and even includes the ability managing multiple signatures.
By default the editor is pretty basic for what many people want out of their signature. If you want to make something more advanced, we would recommend using a tool like our email signature generator. This tool allows you to choose from a set of starting templates and customize them by changing fonts, colors, images and adding additional fields. It creates the HTML code for you so you don't even have to worry about it!
Here is a step by step process of how to add your email signature to "New" Outlook. This guide assumes you have already copied your email signature to your clipboard using an editor like Signature.email, from an email, or from another source.
-
Open the "New" Outlook app on Windows or Mac. Click on the Settings gear near the top right.
-
In the left hand menu, click the Signatures option in the sub-menu under Accounts.
-
Click New Signature to start with a fresh email signature.
-
Give your email signature a name.
-
In the signature editor box click in it and Paste your signature.
On Windows you can press Ctrl + V. On a Mac you can press Command + V. You can also often right click and find the Paste option in the menu.
-
Now Save your signature by clicking the blue button near the bottom right.
-
You can optionally choose when you want your new signature to be used by default. For New Messages, and/or for Replies & Forwards.
Then you will need to click Save again.
-
When composing a new email message, your new signature will now appear.
You can also switch to a different signature if you would like by clicking on the three dots menu while composing an email, going to Insert Signature and selecting from your list of available signatures
