As Signature.email goes into it's fifth year since launch, the tool is continuing to grow and add new functionality for customers. Today we are announcing that the tool has added a much requested feature: saving employee signatures. In the past, you could create signature templates, and allow employees to create their own personalized signatures using generator links, but the bummer thing was that those employee-created signatures weren't ever saved on our platform.
Now that this is possible, it allows for some exciting new possibilities for how the Signature.email platform can be used:
- Employees Using Generator Links:
When an employee visits and fills in an email signature generator link, their whole signature is now saved including their name, title, and any other information they have filled in. This allows admins to review created signatures and ensure they were filled in correctly. It also allows the employee to recall their signature and edit it at a later time. - Admin Created Signatures:
Admins can now create email signatures on behalf of employees using a shared template. You can send them to employees via email and even allow them to edit and refine their saved signature if desired. You can also copy the link and send it to them directly for them to visit and edit.
You can check this new feature out by logging into your account and browsing to the Employees page. This allows you to view and search for employees, clicking on them to view the signatures they have used and click into each signature they have created.
You can even organize your signatures into Groups, so that you can filter signatures and employees based on which group they are in. This is helpful if you have multiple smaller clients shared in your account, or need to filter employees based on which signatures they have used.
If are a Starter or Pro customer and you would prefer to disable saving employee data in your account you can access a setting in your organization settings , open the "Advanced Security Settings" dropdown, and enable the "Track Only Employee Emails". This will essentially keep the existing functionality that the platform used in the past.
